Buckeyes escape with win at penn state

The buckeyes had to hold off a second half penn state charge to hang on and win the game 64-62 after having a 41-19 lead at half time. this continues a trend of the bucks playing great for a half and building a big lead only to play poorly and let the other team back in the game. They need to develop a killer instinct and learn to play both halves of game or they will be an early exit in the ncaa tournament. they have all the talent in the world but they wont matter if they continue to be as inconsistent as they have been all year. They also need to get greg oden the the basketball nearly every time down the court because good things happen when he touches the ball. if they continue to not get oden the ball enough and jack up nba range threes they will be an early exit. They only good thing to come out of this game is the great first half and that they hung on for a win and stayed tied with wisconsin. you can read the game recap here

The buckeyes travel to state college to take on the nittany lions. the buckeyes are hoping to keep pace with wisconsin and stay atop the big ten standings. Penn state is one of the worst teams in the big tens and the buckeyes should take care of business.hopefully they do not look past penn state and take care of business tonight. go here for a preview of tonights game

excited about march madness

I am a big college hoops fan and one of my favorite times of the year as a sports fan is march madness. With only a little more than a month before the start of march madness conference standings are starting to take shape. For the first time since the Jimmy Jackson era the Ohio State Buckeyes have a legitimate national championship contender. This has everyone in Columbus(including me) about this team. The big ten conference crown is gonna come down to the buckeyes and badgers probably when they meet in Columbus in a few weeks. This game is not only gonna probably determine the big ten champ but also a possible number 1 seed in the ncaa tournament. I just hope the buckeyes take care of business in the games before the showdown with the badgers. They have a fairly weak schedule and should take care of business as long as they are not looking ahead to the game with the badgers. Anyways to end this post i cannot wait for the end of the regular season so march madness to start!
